Timothy Keller’s The Reason for God discusses perspectives both for and against the existence of a Christian God. The book is split into two parts: the first half tackles seven of the most prominent and common doubts people hold regarding Christianity, while the latter half of the book explores reasons FOR a Christian God. Through patient and careful analyses of both sides of important umbrella topics, Keller does an amazing job with breaking down complex arguments into main ideas, which he then explores by using biblical reasoning to demonstrate why belief in Christianity and the Christian God is, in fact, a necessity for all. I would highly recommend this book to young adults and those who are relatively new to the Christian faith, as the thought-provoking nature and scope of this book has changed my perspective on how I should approach discussing the faith with others and any doubts about Christianity that I personally may have.
